Job Duties for Chef
The chef we are looking for must be able to:
- take charge of the kitchen,
- prepare all the food, cook all the dishes in our menu, create new special Chinese dishes, and, plan menus and make changes to menus and creating banquet menu when required, especially for Traditional Sichuan style and Traditional Chinese Seafood Dishes
- supervise cooks and other kitchen staff,
- train new cooks
- Determine what foods are required to be purchased and the food cost, purchase food supplies including going on location, maintain quality control of all food supplies, inventory count to keep inventory up to date and kitchen supplies,
Essential Skills for Chef:
Speaking Mandarin would be asset (owner speaks Mandarin) but not a requirement
We are looking for Chef-Chinese Cuisine who is:
- Expert in Traditional Sichuan style Chinese Cuisine; and, Traditional Chinese Seafood Dishes
- able to handle big banquets;
- good at these special dishes: specialty sauces and gravy
Experience for each Chef:
- with 6 years experience as Chef - Chinese Cuisine in Sichuan style Chinese Cuisine; and, Traditional Chinese Seafood Dishes
