Chef (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Restaurants)

Job Description

Westview Oriental Restaurant Ltd. is looking for a full time Chef to perform the following duties in an established location:

- Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays for special events such as banquets
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Create new recipes
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Plan menus

Qualified Candidates would possess the following qualities:

-     High School Diploma
-     3 years of cooking experience in restaurants as a chef
-     Cook’s trade certification
-     Specialization in cooking genuine Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine is preferred, as those are our signature dishes and most of our customers come to our restaurant to enjoy genuine Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine.

Wage: $3,200 monthly, paid semi-monthly
Benefits: 10 business days holiday every year
