Parkway liquor store is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to promote and lead this small but fast paced liquor store.
Located in the Marketplace mall in the heart of UBC, Parkway Liquor has become the "destination shop" on campus. We are a small, boutique style private liquor store with a walk-in cooler focusing on a selection of cold craft beer, quality wine and spirits. Parkway serves a loyal customer base of UBC students from around the world, university faculty and discerning customers from the surrounding residential area.
You are:
- Independent, responsible and trustworthy
- Strong on planning skills with an eye for details and procedures
- Passionate about doing a great job and helping others
- Passionate about sales and sharing your product knowledge with staff and customers
- Have a pattern of success in LRS supervision & management – at least two years
- Have a desire to grow and excel within the expanding organization
- Have a valid Serving it Right certificate and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Fluent in English.
Your Duties include:
- Maintain a mature and professional work environment
- Hiring, leadership and development of store staff in excellent customer service
- Ordering and maintaining all product levels for the store
- Ensuring all monthly financial budgets and goals are met
- Maintain and monitor inventory and product sales
- Assist in the daily operations of the store
- Maintain a high daily operational standard.
Your Assets are:
- A True passion for wine, spirits and craft beer with pride in your ability to organize and multitask on a regular basis.
- Cicerone and/or WSET certification a definite asset as is management and retail experience.
