PURPOSE OF THIS JOB

The purpose of this position is to maintain sales and revenue growth through:
- new customer acquisition in agreed upon markets and territories
- selling innovative and/or cost-saving product solutions

NATURE AND SCOPE
|
|
The Sales Consultant is responsible for increasing revenue growth, year over year.
This position is also responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships, supplying complete, accurate and clear information and instructions for pricing requests; handling customer complaints, and ensuring that their CRM and sales data is up-to-date, providing reports to management on a timely basis.

|
Sales/Revenue Growth (10%)
- Acquire new customers through lead generation, cold calling, networking and maintaining an appropriate number of leads as directed by Sales Manager
- Increase revenue through selling innovative and/or cost-saving product solutions to new and existing customers
- Practice standardized sales processes to reduce time required to close a sale
- Understand the story behind the numbers in your sales funnel and win/loss ratios, in order to provide a framework for your daily priorities and to immediately re-focus your efforts to improve your sales results.
New Projects and Quotes (20%)

Manage new business opportunities by coordinating the efforts of internal staff such as CSR, Order Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure timely results are delivered to the customer

Review all quotes for completeness and accuracy before delivering to customers

Maintain project and information flow with customers and affiliates regarding technical and logistical issues

Attend press proofs for new projects, as required.
Customer Relationship Management (%50)

Inform customer of current and emerging print technologies which may be of value to them, in consultation with Sales Manager and Order Engineers.

Inform clients of packaging development initiatives, potential cost savings, and A1 initiatives in customer service.

Provide complete, accurate and timely information to CSRs, Engineering and Estimating with regard to pricing and graphics

Ensure that A1 maintains a relationship with the appropriate decision-maker at a customer account

Manage customer’s perception and resolve major conflicts as requested.
Conduct review meetings with customers to evaluate A1’s performance.
Reporting (15%)

Keep your manager informed of concerns regarding changes in customer order patterns and/or customer feedback, on daily, weekly, monthly basis as the situation requires

Ensure that CRM data is maintained and updated with all required information on a daily basis
Develop accurate budgets and forecasts for approval by your manager, and update annually to reflect the most current situation with your prospects/customers.
Other Duties as Assigned (5%), including but not limited to:

Assist your manager in preparing sales forecast/budget spreadsheets for the sales team, posting employment ads, etc.

Assist your manager in ensuring that sales team members are updating their CRM data on a daily basis and that information entered is complete, accurate and reliable.
