Facility Operations Leadership (Multiple Locations)
§ Accountable for planning and execution of production planning, quality control, packaging activities (bottling, kegging,), warehouse operations, distribution, and facility maintenance performance and continuous improvement.
§ Create the capability for sustainable, cost effective manufacturing and distribution, by continuously optimizing costs, minimizing environmental impact, and maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
§ Effectively manage inventory control of finished products and packaging components.
§ Preparation and control of packaging, maintenance, capital, warehouse operational budgets and projects.
§ Establish and maintain property, equipment, and utilities in good condition to assure product quality, process efficiency, and economical operations.
§ Compliance with policy, regulations, health & safety targets and sanitation, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) objectives.
§ Support capital expansion projects and new facility development with operations subject matter expertise as necessary.
Canadian Supply Chain Management
§ Manage a team of Inventory & Distribution Planners to ensure all inventory is effectively managed and logistics cost budgets are achieved.
§ Build an effective warehouse and distribution network (i.e. Container World) within Canada to support the sales of all products sold in Canada.
§ Work collaboratively with the Sales organization to minimize out of stocks, disruption to sales and ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time, at the lowest possible cost.
People Leadership
§ Create a focused culture that drives exceptional performance, entrepreneurial thinking and employee commitment, where people embrace ambiguity and construct concrete direction while things are changing.
§ Provide leadership, mentorship, performance management, rewards and recognitions, career progression opportunities for department employees to enhance employee engagement and performance.
§ Lead a team of salaried people leaders to deliver operational excellence through their frontline teams.
§ Provide motivation, training, guidance and coaching to employees, ensuring performance and quality standards are achieved at all times.
§ Responsible for the implementation and execution of an effective safety system.
§ Problem solve with non-traditional thinking, critical thinking, and efficient decision making to ensure that all measurable targets are met.
Continuous Improvement
§ Provide supply chain and packaging expertise on new products and packaging options.
§ Champion product cost reduction initiatives, identifying and executing against opportunities to reduce direct product costs while maintaining quality and brand integrity.
§ Ownership of functional budget, providing insight into variances where appropriate and driving corrective action as required for continuous improvement.
§ Build internal supply chain and operations expertise through the promotion of technical standardization and clear, consistent, documented processes across teams.
§ Drive energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements.
