We are looking for an individual passionate about Wine and Food & Beverage to join our team at Adamo Estate Winery (AEW).

The successful candidate will work directly with the Owners and Director of Operations on establishing and maintaining the high standards of AEW with a special focus on guest satisfaction, service standards, staff training and development.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Achieving the highest service standards and exceeding a high guest expectation at the Tasting Bar, Eateries and Outdoor patio’s each and every time.

·         Maintain a professional image of the Winery at all times.

·         Effectively enforce company policies and procedures.

·         Achieve operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans, implementing productivity, quality and standards of service.

·         Work closely with the Director of Operations and the Director of Catering and Events to ensure successful operations of the Banquet Rooms.

·         Resolve associate and /or guest conflict through service recovery and implement change when necessary.

·         Liaise with the DOO to control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation, minimizing waste.

·         Prepare payroll and staff scheduling.

·         Employee development, training, coaching and performance reviews.

·         Create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a team.

·         Generate growth and sales of the Retail outlet.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         A minimum of 2 years management / leadership experience preferably in hospitality.

·         Excellent wine knowledge; sommelier knowledge a definite asset.

·         Excellent leadership abilities, strong motivator  

·         Self-starter, flexible and able to work independently

·         Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast paced environment.

·         Strong business acumen

·         Exceptional communication and organizational skills

·         Post-secondary degree / diploma in Hospitality Management, Sommelier, Food and Beverage Management and / or equivalent an asset.
