We are currently looking for highly motivated and hardworking Assistant Winemaker.

The Assistant Winemaker will report directly to the Winemaker on all aspects of wine production.

The successful candidate will be involved in every aspect of production from grape to bottle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

grape and wine lab analysis,

sanitization of tanks and equipment,

transferring and racking from tanks and barrels,

pump overs & punch downs, 

monitoring fermentations,

additions,

filtering,

preparing bottling line,

bottling,

operating a forklift,

stacking barrels,

promotion of the brand through media, trade, staff and consumer relations,

responsible for monitoring and enforcement of company policies and procedures,

and of course vintage.

This role requires extended hours over vintage.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

University Degree or College Diploma in Oenology or related field

Practical experience (5+ years) in still wine production

Excellent work ethic, reliability and integrity.

Strong commitment to quality with attention to detail.

Strong team player and able to work alone.

 Ability to lift 25KG.
