Tasting Bar Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Redstone Winery is the newest project by Moray Tawse. He purchased the Lincoln Lakeshore property in 2009 citing it was an opportunity to explore a different terroir that he simply couldn’t pass up. Inspired by the red clay soil and large stones, Redstone Winery was born.

The 38 acre estate vineyard, farmed organically and bio-dynamically is perfect for maturing late-ripening varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Pinot Gris is also grown on the estate. Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Limestone Vineyard rounds out the estate portfolio.

Construction of the state-of-the-art hospitality centre and seasonally inspired restaurant and patio is scheduled to open spring 2015.

We are currently looking for part time tasting bar staff to join the Redstone team.

Duties will consist of:

 

·         Providing exceptional customer service experiences

·         Imparting knowledge of Redstone wines and the vineyards

·         Striving to meet sales targets

·         Leading group tastings

·         Stocking shelves, carrying cases of wine

·         Light cleaning

 

Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

·         Previous experience in the hospitality/wine industry

·         Passion for wine and the wine industry

·         Proven team player

·         Smart Serve trained

·         Sommelier/WSET certificate an asset
