BC Marketing & Sales Coordinator – Vancouver
We are the largest privately owned wine and spirits agency in Canada representing some of the most prestigious wineries and distilleries worldwide. We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of BC Marketing & Sales Coordinator, based in Vancouver. The primary role of this position is to provide trade marketing support to the Charton Hobbs (CH) marketing team and sales in BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Potential candidates must have completed a marketing/graphics/business diploma or degree. Ideally the candidate will have basic wine education/appreciation courses and have some experience and lots of passion for the wine and spirits industry.
Duties include:
- Assist marketing Manager as needed, including completion of BC/Manitoba/Saskatchewan Liquor Boards marketing and listing applications. Includes, applications for shelf talkers & neck-tags, image programs, value-add, tastings, TASTE Magazine and new product listings.
- Artwork design and in house printing and distribution for promotional, sales, and event materials as assigned by marketing/sales managers.
- Production or sourcing, coordination and distribution of POS for approved LDB programs and delivery to LDB (other admin to help with legwork as approved and directed) and LRS/LIC programs;
- Rep requests for materials to be assigned and approved by marketing/sales managers, to be completed on a timely basis;
- Electronic version of BC price lists to be updated and distributed monthly (including web posting);
- Compilation of monthly reports including compiling data and building PP presentations;
- Maintain accurate and current data and systems within the Charton Hobbs Group marketing systems;
- Additional duties as directed by CH Marketing Manager;
- Manage expenses and any promotional spending within company guidelines.
- Bi-monthly priority brand sell sheet design and print.
- Assist in the management of POS materials in warehouse.
- Cross train and serve as a backup for phones and general office admin;
- Support Trade Marketing Associate with Special Events (include attending events as required).
The Ideal Candidate Should:
· Be proficient in MS Office and graphic design skills, especially Photoshop, CS4, & InDesign, effective oral and written communication skills.
· Be a self-starter who is eager to advance their career with a keen eye for innovation.
· Have the ability to see the big picture to improve communication messages based on the target market.
· Have the ability to read and analyze statistics for targeting & effectively build sales marketing material for the sales team.
· Have the ability to execute high standards of performance and work within tight deadlines to advance the company.
· Maintain a valid passport for business related travel.
Base salary plus incentive bonus, commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
