BC Portfolio & Trade Marketing Manager
Job Summary
Based in Burnaby and reporting to the BC Vice President – this exciting new position will collaborate with the BC marketing team with the goal of increasing the sales of our New World portfolio wine by creating/executing dynamic marketing plans for select key regional and national suppliers and presenting those plans to the BCLDB.
Skills and qualifications:
A candidate with a successful track record in brand management and/or Liquor Board sales within the beverage alcohol industry would be ideal to this role. Successful candidates will bring a strong skillset in strategic brand placement, marketing, communication, process/planning management, plus advertising and retail promotional experience. Analytical thinking capabilities coupled with problem-solving skills plus a hands-on attitude and a positive team orientated attitude are additional key attributes for this position. This role requires a genuine demonstrated passion for the brands that are being managed. WSET level 2 or 3.
Key responsibilities include:

Direct liaison between Charton Hobbs and select regional and national suppliers;

Develop, present and sell-in strategic marketing plans that will facilitate product portfolio growth;

Building sound brand plans, forecasts, and budgets for all the brands in their portfolio - working closely with the BC Sales Management team, to achieve provincial sales targets;

Manage supplier relationships to analyze brand performance and create innovative and result-driven promotional programs. Ensure that all programs are properly tracked to evaluate and revisit effectiveness, constant A&P budget management;

Gain an excellent understanding of the product categories and their respective competitive and retail environments to anticipate market changes and develop strategies to offset the changes;

Work closely with key internal contacts and customers to ensure goals are attained and programs are executed to plan. Maintain congruence between regional plans and national brand strategies (pricing, promotion, image, trademarks, consumer communication, POS, etc.);
The successful candidate must possess at least a bachelor degree and has already worked for a minimum of 2 years within the beverage alcohol industry. In addition advanced computer skills, strong PowerPoint and excellent Excel ability (pivot tables), web based research experience, as well as experience with current social media culture, are required.
Excellent salary plus incentive bonus and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
