Logistics Coordinator
6 month contract position – January to June 2016
Job Summary:
Provide operations support to the Western Canada Marketing and Office team, primarily reporting to the Inventory and Logistics Manager. This is 6 month contract position with possible opportunity for extension.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
PO MANAGEMENT: (50%)
-
Verify prices for direct order POs, cross reference BC & AB inventory for approval
-
Submit bond transfer POs and submission to LDB ( Est 15 weekly)
-
Post weekly MB and SK direct and bond transfer POs to Order Management System
-
Receive completed SK POs in Order Management
-
Download MB and SK inventory report; verify accuracy of inventory balances and sku listings and confirm distribution to sales team weekly
-
Monitor SK direct order POs via download from SK Lion website monthly and coordinate with Finance to ensure suppliers are invoiced accordingly.

Update bond transfer summary monthly
-
Update weekly Everything Wine inventory report
PRICING: (25%)
-
Provide pricing quotations for new listings and requotes for current and /or reordered skus in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
-
Submit periodic price changes/LTOs to Manitoba and Saskatchewan Liquor Boards
-
Coordinate with MB & SK Liquor Boards on all pricing matters related to products represented by AWSM
-
Maintain price file of outstanding and approved price applications, submissions and ensure pricing implementation by suppliers, Liquor Boards and AWSM team.
-
Post quarterly price file in SharePoint for Manitoba and Saskatchewan updated with latest Liquor-Board freight, forex and mark-up rates
-
Provide analyses of costs & margins on products sold in Manitoba and Saskatchewan towards increasing revenue for these provinces
LISTINGS: (15%)
-
Coordinate with Sales & Marketing on completion of requisite forms for special order and consignments applications
-
Submit new registrations and listing apps for MB/SK
-
Set-up approved listings by MB & SK in Cellar System
MARKETING/LOGISTICS ADMIN: (5%)
-
Coordinate with Prairie Prov Sales & Marketing on approvals for and changes in Periodic LTO Programs and Price Changes
-
Administer consular charity events
-
Arrange customs clearance and delivery to AWSM offices for wine samples
-
Weekly Monarch inventory report for sub-agent
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION: (5%)

Maintain the Western Canada product information data base

Filing
-
Other duties as requested for marketing/management
-
Holiday back-fill for Logistics Manager and Financial Analyst back-up

Phone coverage (as per office schedule)
Job Requirements:
-
Experience: Enrolled in University degree (BCom preferred) in Marketing or equivalent discipline

Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly organized, and display excellent motivation and leadership abilities. You should be prepared to provide examples of your written work. Must be able to juggle multiple situations, and be self motivated and able to work independently.

Knowledge: You must have great PC skills (Windows: Word/Excel).

Physical: Must be physically fit and be able to lift and carry 41+ pounds and able to build displays or handle heavy POS material.

Other: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license in the Province employed and must meet the Company’s automobile insurance requirements. Must have and maintain a valid Canadian Passport.
