Trade Marketing Associate


We are the largest privately owned wine and spirits agency in Canada representing some of the most prestigious wineries and distilleries worldwide. We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Trade Marketing Associate Coordinator, based in Vancouver. The primary role of this position is to provide Trade Marketing support to the Charton Hobbs (CH) Marketing team and the Management team. 

  • Manage large and small scale events developing the consumer's interaction with the brand and overseeing the creation of promotional materials for tradeshows and tastings;

  • Execute media relations activities, new product releases, feature articles and submission of products into local beverage awards to increase brand exposure;

  • Explore strategic sponsorship opportunities, including ad design and placement to promote/build brand awareness in market;

  • Work with Marketing Manager and sales team to build customized retail marketing programs;

  • Analyze product sales, industry performance and competitor activities;

  • Assist Marketing Manager with development of brand plans, forecasts and budgets;

  • Analyze brand performance including tracking program performance against A&P budget;

  • Assist Marketing Manager and Marketing & Sales Co-coordinator with completion of BCLDB marketing programs, updating Marketing programs grids, compilation of monthly reports including compiling data;

  • Additional duties as directed by BC Portfolio & Marketing Manager and VP of Sales;

The Ideal Candidate Should:

  • Be proficient in excel, word processing and graphic design skills, especially Photoshop, CS4, & InDesign, effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Completed basic wine education/appreciation courses

  • Be a self-starter who is eager to advance their career with a keen eye for innovation.

  • Have the ability to see the big picture to improve communication messages based on the target market.

  • Have the ability to read and analyze statistics for targeting & effectively build sales

  • Have the ability to execute high standards of performance and work within tight deadlines to advance the company.

  • Maintain a valid passport for business related travel.
