Key Account Manager, Retail (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, implement and measure against fiscal business plans for individual chains in Alberta

  • Present quarterly business review for individual chains and complete follow-ups and program activations

  • Analyze current market trends within individual chains and categories

  • Manage and maintain chain budgets

  • Manage and maintain chain program grid

  • Complete monthly account visits for all chains

  • Monitor and communicate inventory and allocations of chain products

  • Communicate chain programming, listings and tastings with independent Territory Managers and tasting companies

  • Report and communicate chain programming to Director of Operations and Brand Managers

  • Manage chain programming activations through merchandisers

  • Review and record flyer activity for SWS and competitors

  • Manage Added Value quantities for chain programming

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

     

     

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skill set:

 

  • Post-secondary degree in applicable field

  • 3 - 5 years of industry working experience (or a combination thereof)

  • Proven track record for developing and managing fiscal budgets

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to sell fine wine, craft beer and premium spirits

  • WSET Level 2 certification will be considered an asset

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Exemplary customer service skills: including regular contact/communication, problem solving, follow through and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Incredible negotiation skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Valid AB driver’s license. Must be able to travel as necessary to be physically present at events, customer visits and meetings.

  • Flexibility for evening and weekend work hours

  • Current ProServe Certification

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting 50 lbs., ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as navigating stairs.

  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset
