Job purpose
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the promotion and sales of Alley Kat products in the Calgary and Southern Alberta region. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively on their own with support from the Sales Manager as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is extremely goal-oriented and driven who is willing to learn and grow in the craft beer industry. A passion for craft beer, and a knowledge of, or the desire to learn about the industry, is an asset.
Duties and responsibilities
The Core duties of this role are to:

Increase market share of Alley Kat brands by aggressively identifying new business opportunities and supporting existing relationships with both on and off premise accounts

Conduct and arrange beer tastings and account staff education

Promote Alley Kat brands by attending various functions and special events as required

Accurately report daily activities and account information to Sales Manager

Develop and maintain sales plans, plan and track budgets, and assist in developing sales strategies to strengthen Alley Kat brands
Qualifications
As a leader in the craft brewing industry, our employees all have a passion for craft beer. From producing to consuming, we take our beer seriously. An interest in beer, whether fledgling or advanced, is an integral part of working at Alley Kat. As a small business, Alley Kat needs good humoured, enthusiastic team players who fit in with the social and company dynamic.
Desired Skills & Experience:

Effective time-management skills and the ability to work both in a team and alone

A clean driving record; successful candidates will be asked to supply a driver's abstract

Pro-serve certified, or the willingness to be pro-serve certified immediately if accepted
Working conditions
This is an independent role that is based on the road pursuing new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing ones and being the face of Alley Kat in the Calgary region. Must be available to travel and must be available to work special events/festivals on weekends and evenings as needed. Must have own car.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 kilograms.
