Sales Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Vintage West is a Western Canadian wine agency with a winery-focused philosophy.  We represent our winery partners with integrity and commitment.  We are currently seeking a qualified candidate based in Calgary, Alberta to sell our comprehensive portfolio to retail stores and on-premise accounts throughout the Calgary / Southern Alberta region.

 

The successful candidate must have 3 years’ experience or greater and a track record of sales success. 

 

The Role: To carry out the company sales / activities plans to further develop an existing territory. The successful candidate will sell various brands in both established and new accounts, maximizing profitability for the company and enhance the company’s reputation in the marketplace.

 

Candidates must possess:

  • High level of wine knowledge (WSET preferred)

  • Proven relationships with Calgary and area buyers (Retail / On-Premise)

  • Organizational ability to manage a  large account list and portfolio

  • Ability to analyze and capitalize on sales opportunities

  • Participate in promotional events, tastings and supplier visits to raise the profile of our brands to both retail customers and the public (consumers)

  • Strong communication skills and a desire to be part of a dynamic team

  • Results driven, proactive and passionate about the retail wine industry in Alberta 

 

A competitive salary including incentives, health benefits and car allowance will be provided.  Business related expenses will be reimbursed.  This is a 1 year contract position with the possibility of being extended to full time.
