Job purpose
To engage as a team player that can achieve goals and objectives set by the winery by delivering exceptional guest experiences that build customer loyalty and drive sales at the cellar door.
Duties and responsibilities
Daily duties and responsibilities are:
- Must greet customers in a positive and friendly manner
- Open and close retail store including balancing daily cash outs
- Complete daily tasks as detailed in retail store including merchandising and general housekeeping duties
- Enter and process orders at point of sale
- Conduct tours and sparkling wine experiences for groups ranging from 2 to 20 ppl, daily
- Share wine and food knowledge with customers while serving wine in a tasting room environment
- Maintain professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all time
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- The ability to act as a team player
- The ability to use sound judgement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to use your own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a coworker or management
- Must complete Serving It Right
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Working conditions
This position does require early morning, evening and weekend availability.
Physical requirements
This position can be physically demanding. The candidate may be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects (15kg) on a regular basis and do repetitive tasks.
Compensation starts at $13.50/hour and is negotiable depending on experience.
