The Gillis of Belleisle Winery is looking for a qualified applicant to fill their upcoming vacancy as a winemaker. The applicant should have a degree in viticulture and oenology, preferably dealing with cold climate grapes, and have at least two harvests experience. The applicant should work well with others, be dynamic and creative. If you have the desire to make you mark on the winemaking world, this is your chance!
The Gillis of Belleisle Winery is a leading boutique cottage winery in New Brunswick, Canada with several different popular lines. With multiple award wins across Canada, including a double gold last year, the winery seeks to be exceptional, not industrial. Applicants will be expected to continue some of our popular styles (While adding their own touches) as well as create their own vintages. An interest in distilling is desired as well as we start to move into high-end spirit production as well.
A competitive local salary, use of the company truck and summer accommodation is provided. An initial contract for 6 months with options for yearly renewal to be agreed upon.
