Looking to join a dynamic team at an exciting, growing winery in Nova Scotia?
Blomidon Estate Winery is currently looking for a Wine Shop and Sales Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
§ Recruit, train, educate, supervise and schedule seasonal sales staff;
§ Build and develop customer relationships through all sales channels – including restaurants, private wine stores, the NSLC, online and direct sales;
§ Work with management to set and achieve sales targets;
§ Oversee tours, special events, and tasting room activities;
§ Ensure food and patio service meet or exceed customer service standards;
§ Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures.
Position Requirements:
§ A degree/diploma and minimum 2-4 years of experience in Winery Management, Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or other related fields;
§ Wine education (WSET, Sommelier) or winery experience an asset;
§ Strong communication and computer skills as well as proficiency with social media;
§ Have excellent planning and time-management skills;
§ Be a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team;
§ Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting of 40 lbs, standing for extended periods of time, and working extended hours;
§ Must be of legal age to serve alcohol;
§ Have a valid Driver’s Licence.
