The Wine Syndicate is a medium size, quickly growing, progressive wine importing agency with its' head office in Vancouver, B.C. Our model is to source premium high value wines from boutique producers from around the world, especially those with a committment to producing wines in a sustainable manner. We are a small, high performance, 'hands on' team; with a focus on providing a forward thinking approach to quality of work life.
The Wine Syndicate is seeking a wine sales representative to handle our Edmonton business, on a 1 year contract for 2 days per week. If after a period of 1 year, our Edmonton business grows sufficiently and the fit between you and the company is good, The Wine Syndicate will look at either renewing the contract or moving it to an employee position.
This is a unique chance to take your wine career to the next level by assuming a position that will provide opportunity for growth. As our head office is in Vancouver, the successful candidate needs to be self-starting and comfortable with a lot of autonomy on day to day decision making.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the wine industry
- Candidates with existing experience as a wine sales representative in Calgary will be given priority
- Intermediate to advanced wine knowledge
- Valid drivers license
- An ability to 'self manage' and 'self start' to a certain degree
- Comfortable making decisions on your own
- Geared towards results
- High energy and positive attitude are a must
