Lower Mainland Sales Representative: Retail & On-premises
This is a maternity leave contract position from January 12, 2015 to January 31, 2016.
Charton Hobbs, Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importer, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to represent our brands in the communities of the Fraser Valley (Langley, Abbotsford, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack).
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic professional looking to take the next step in their career. In this position, the successful candidate will work with some of the beverage alcohol business’ most prestigious and exciting brands such as Veuve Clicquot, Gray Monk, Fireball, and Belvedere Vodka. Selling mostly to retail accounts alongside select restaurants and bar accounts, the primary role of this position is to convert your out-going personality to build relationships with Liquor Manager/Operators and turn that into a high level of sales success.
The successful candidate must have a great deal of self-discipline, set high standards for themselves, be competitive, and be a great team player. Experience in direct sales, packaged goods, or the hospitality industry as well as fundamental wine and spirits knowledge is preferred but not required.
Additional responsibilities include organizing and creating displays, tastings, and account support functions. In addition, attendance at trade events (evenings and weekends) may be required.
Potential candidates must have a passion for wine and spirits and hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel. Candidates with College or University schooling are also preferred. Other skills that are important to this position are:

- Capable of advanced organization and planning skills and have the ability to respect tight schedules.
This position comes with a base salary commensurate with experience, annual bonus, bi-monthly incentive bonus, a car allowance and benefits. Business related expenses are also covered.
