Dark Horse Estate Winery Incorporated is a new, dynamic winery within the picturesque setting of Huron County. Applicants for the role of Retail and Events Manager will be expected to provide superior customer service, administrative support and deliver service that maximizes Dark Horse Estate Winery Incorporated visitor’s experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
The manager will act as the key contact for retail sales and events. This position is sales driven and requires flexible working hours to accommodate events. Applicants shall be confident in their approach and professional in the execution of their duties.
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
- Participates in the promotion of the winery at tradeshows, speaking engagements, wine clubs, etc.
- Assists with the development of sales and marketing campaigns
- Assists in training, hiring, and scheduling of staff for the retail and event spaces
- Ensures accurate billing, record maintenance and monthly reports
- Provide exceptional service to clients
- Create and execute events contracts
- Develop correspondence, prepares presentations and organizes materials for the retail space and event center
- Coordinating meetings, events, activities related to the function within the establishment
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in related fields
- 5 years of related experience with at least 2 years in a management position
- Wine retail experience an asset
- Advanced knowledge of MS office suite
- Exemplary communication skills
- Organized and ability to multi-task
