We are a couple with well-developed palates for food, travel and drinks, with a dream to bring cider to the forefront of the craft beverage category in Canada. One of us has a strong F&B background while the other brings a wealth of financial business skills. Together we want to raise the profile of Cider in BC by focusing in 100% BC local fruit and exception tasting room experience.

 

Job description


We are seeking a creative and assured Cider Maker to lead this critical business stream, someone who loves the craft, but also has the experience, professional skills, and drive to instill confidence with passionate clients and to work within an energetic Management Team who are guiding a successful business through a pathway of enormous opportunity. We're looking for an innovative cider marker that is eager to transform the Cider Industry in Canada.   We will develop a portfolio of exceptional and distinct tastes borrowing on the Old World and New World Traditions of Cider Making. Spanish, English, French, and American (and Canadian) accents are all welcomed inspirations.

 

This is a sensational opportunity for a passionate and gifted artisan to take responsibility for a unique lineup of Ciders. Job Requirements

 

  • You are an experienced Cider Maker or a bored and experienced winemaker looking to play with apples. Cider is the next big thing after all.
  • You hold a degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or equivalent. We're flexible...
  • You have 5 or more years’ experience with commercial cider and/or winemaking equipment and processes.
  • You enjoy actively engaging with Front of House (FOH) and sales staff in cider education so they can better educate customers about the product.
  • You have a proven record of achieving targets in both quality and efficiency.
  • You are eager to take a leading role within a strong team that will bring cider to the forefront of the craft beverage category in Canada.
  • You are a ferocious researcher constantly looking for better, more efficient ways to execute your goals.
  • You are active is the craft community with strong relationships with peers and suppliers.
  • You are "the clean freak" of the group and you are proud of it.
  • Your Boys/Girl Scout experience may be considered an asset.
  • You are passionate about all things Cider related and want to see  the category grow in BC.                          

 

Competitive salary based on experience.
