We are seeking a self-motivated, sales focused individual to join our Export Sales team. The successful candidate will participate in the development and execution of the Export Business Plan and management of the distributor network. They will also be accountable to the financial plan and wine forecasts.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
Engaging Distributor/Customer Network
- Developing sales and marketing plans with each distributor/customer based on corporate business plan
- Assisting with the setting of distribution and sales targets
- Monitoring/driving performance of each distributor/customer
- Meeting with distributors/customers in-market to assist with developing and executing plans
- Conducting in-market training
- Assisting in expanding placements and acquiring new accounts
Financial/Administrative
- Financial performance of specific customers
- Preparing monthly status reports
- Interpreting monthly P&L statements
- Participating in managing product and pricing of inventory
Cultivate Key External Relationships
- Developing relationships with key global retail groups, distributors, customers, brand ambassadors and business influencers
- Seeking out PR opportunities
- Channels – Duty Free (including airport and land border retail, airlines)
- Markets – focus on Canadian Travel Retail – may change as assigned
Planning
- Developing regional plans based on annual Export business plan
- Contributing to the development of brand marketing plans and annual Financial Plans (P&L)
- Developing and maintaining forecasts by Parent sku and by Trade channel in Demantra
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
- Post-secondary education (Business or Marketing program preferred)
- 3 - 5 years' experience in Sales or Marketing
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, action-oriented approach
- Exceptional ability to time manage and prioritize
- Exemplary customer service skills; including communication, product knowledge, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to be influential over the phone and computer
- Wine knowledge an asset
- Ability for travel (~20% of time) and some weekend work
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule due to International time zones
