Responsibilities
· Maintain harmonious business relationships and "value based" with suppliers under his/her responsibility
· Develop strategies for long-term development of its portfolio of brands, identify "win-win" business opportunities on the product mix, pricing, promotions, different markets and channels (4P)
· Develop annual business plans, working closely with sales team across Canada, who will achieve the expected sales and revenues to both supplier and VPD
· Provide strategic and annual plans with suppliers and make adjustments if necessary
· Ensure understanding, adherence and implementation of the sales teams’ business plans, in all provinces
· Measure results continuously (monthly review with the sales managers) and make the necessary adjustments to maximize return on investment for the brands under its responsibility
· Master the trade policies of all monopolies and the Canadian markets
· Identify innovative concepts of branding, promotions, events, etc. likely to support sales growth as well as profitability of brands under its responsibility and see to their implementation
· Stay on the lookout for emerging consumption trends, for wineries and commercial, in order to identify development opportunities
· Ensure the integrity of the VPD catalog of products for its brands portfolio
· Meet deadlines
· Manage financial and material resources to achieve its mandate such as marketing budgets by brand
· Supervise, mobilize and develop human resources under its responsibility, if applicable
Education and Experience:
· First cycle degree in business administration, marketing specialization or equivalent
· Seven (7) years of experience in trade marketing with at least five (5) years of practical experience during which the principles and concepts of category management and the "4Ps" (product, price, promotion, positioning) were used
· Experience in Canadian provinces other than Quebec
· Experience in negotiation
Technical skills:
· Bilingualism (oral and written)
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point
· Knowledge and passion for wines
