Assistant Wine Maker & Vineyard Manager (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Off grid, solar powered, multiple award winning winery seeks a motivated career-minded individual to join our team to work in all wine-making functions.

Duties include:
- Focusing on producing top-quality, unique wines, capable of satisfying discriminating buyers.
- Assisting in the creation of, and adherence to, a consistent wine release and production schedule, working with other production, sales and marketing groups.-Assisting in all wine-making functions from harvest to bottling, including, but not limited to, working with on-site partner and master consulting winemaker to set agenda, tone and direction of wine-making.
- Working with and generally advising the Vineyard Foreman in terms of vineyard practises as they relate to the maintenance (and possible expansion) of vineyards, with a focus on high-quality, environmentally-responsible crops. This includes spray schedule, vine training concepts and other aspects of viticulture.
- Assisting in the supervision of all vineyard functions, including working with outdoor staff to ensure vineyards are maintained to a high standard, spraying schedules are planned, executed and documented, and that hand-work is executed as prescribed.
- Maintaining complete and up to date records of winemaking activities and practices as prescribed by company policies.

Preferred candidates should have a degree in applicable field from college/university program or equivalent experience.
