Retail Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

  Hillier, Ontario

To provide leadership to ensure customer satisfaction levels are maintained.  To grow existing market to external customers and grow new relationships.  To capitalize on market demands and grow/ sustain sales. 

Position activities include:

- working scheduled hours in tasting room

- scheduling shifts for staff in retail and bottling/ labeling operations

- planning and preparation for events

- training and coaching retail staff

- organizing and managing all retail areas for cleanliness and safety

- organizing and leading scheduled vineyard tours

- purchasing necessary supplies for retail

- coordinating with marketing initiatives

- monthly inventory counts

Other requirements include:

- ability to lift 40 lb

- extended periods of standing and walking

- familiar with POS system

- SmartServe certificate

- strong knowledge of wine
