Cellar worker / equipment operator
Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery is a small quality oriented winery in Jordan, ON with visions of growth seeking a cellar worker / equipment operator. It is kind of ‘help me everywhere in production kind-of-job” with duties being, but certainly not limited to:
-all aspects of cellar operations including cellar cleanliness, barrel topping, fermentation control and maintenance, additions, bulk wine management, transfers, preparation for bottling, etc;
-simple lab duties including free and total sulphurs, brix measurements, pH, TA, etc;
-inventory management including preparing orders, moving pallets, co-ordinating deliveries from warehouse;
-preparation for events as required (note … this could include landscaping / garden work / etc);
-other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have:
-a great attitude fitting to our environment;
-love to get their hands dirty and learn plus be able to work flexible hours including some weekends;
-the ability to lift 50 lbs;
-a lift truck certificate and experience driving farm equipment;
-a Smart Serve certificate; and
-more than 3 years’ experience working in winery cellars.
