The Asset Care Coordinator will ensure that plant and equipment throughout the VMF Estate Wineries (Martin’s Lane, CheckMate, CedarCreek) are maintained in a clean, tidy and efficient working order.  Responsible for defining preventative and routine maintenance programs and ensuring the execution of all required activities. Responsible for purchase of spare parts and inventory of other service items, energy management and environmental hazards for VMF Estates properties. This role will provide operational ownership for VMF bottling operations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities associated with plants, equipment and property (crush deck, cellar, bottling and utilities) through the Maintenance Connection software.
• Take ownership of the VMF Bottling operations.  Act as primary operator.  Conduct all maintenance activities.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Safety and GMP policies to enable efficient operations, order and tidiness of assets, while focusing on energy conservation.
• Parts and Inventory Management.
• Documentation and trending
• Develop a culture of energy and water conservation. Trending usage ratios and defining and implementing strategies for reduction in these including opportunities for the use of renewable energy and sustainable energy practices while minimizing environmental impact.
• Assist in planning and implementing activities associated with new projects.

Core Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/technology or proven track record in the field.
• Minimum 2 years’ progressive experience in manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of bottling operations
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD and other computerized business applications.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
• Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to operate without direct supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
