We are currently seeking a hospitality focused leader to champion the Sandhill Winery and Red Rooster wine clubs, driving a highly engaged membership, leveraging our wine club to generate more wine revenues and increasing e-commerce revenues. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing promotional and operational plans. This position requires a passion for wine and customer service excellence.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Developing annual e-blast schedule and ensuring timely creation and efficient delivery of e-blast deployments and monthly wine club shipments.
- Continuously working toward enhancing member benefits and the member at-home experience.
- Creating all wine club collateral for monthly deliveries and promotional activities. Working with internal business groups, suppliers, agencies and creative designers to ensure all stakeholders are aware of upcoming wine club communication and the collateral is delivered in a timely manner.
- Leading the wine club sales initiatives at store level through employee training and engagement activities.
- Day-to-day interaction with wine clubs members to maintain accurate member profiles and assist with member enquiries.
- Monitoring, tracking, analyzing and presenting sales, forecasts, and retention results.
- Monitoring stock availability for both in house and e-commerce sales.
- Updating tourism content on winery websites including 'shopping cart' product information.
- Working with Estate Managers to ensure promotional budget targets are being met.
- Promotes a health & safety culture by ensuring a safe and healthy work environment through effective operation of the Health and Safety program, joint H&S committee and compliance with EH&S regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a related role, preferably in the wine industry.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check prior to offer as per the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirement 12.7.
- Post-secondary education in Business is preferred.
- Supervisory/Leadership experience preferred.
- Proven success in a customer facing role.
- Self-motivated; able to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders).
- Ability to exercise judgement and function independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook and Excel).
- Able to work evenings, weekdays and occasional weekends.
