The British Columbia Wine Institute is the lead trade organisation for the British Columbia Wine Industry. We are a member based organisation responsible for the marketing and promotion of TheWines of British Columbia brand. We are currently accepting applications for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of the annual Marketing, Communications and Advocacy plan. The position is an integral part of a small focused team. The ability to manage a large work load, conflicting deadlines, strong time management and a high level of attention to detail will assure success in this role.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to;
· event planning and execution of BCWI events and sponsored events
· developing and printing collateral materials
· co‐ordinate FAM tours
· monitor effectiveness of programs
· monitor and deliver projects within budget
· maintain and update industry reference documents
· coordinate and distribute marketing and promotional materials to industry partners
· general administration tasks as required
Skills and qualifications
· 5 to 7 years experience in a Marketing department
· marketing or communications degree desirable
· wine marketing, communications and/or event planning experience an asset
· strong communication skills both written and verbal
· ability to relate to all levels of Government and Industry
· good working knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· self-motivated and able to manage own time and priorities with limited supervision
· valid drivers license
· travel at the expense of the British Columbia Wine Institute may be required from time to time
