From historic orchards to opulent vineyards, Kitsch Wines produces single-vineyard wines that embody the sun soaked valleys and enriched soil of the Okanagan region. Cultivated by four generations of ambition and love, the Kitsch family has captured the Okanagan in a glass.
Kitsch Wines, located in East Kelowna, is looking for two ambitious, hard working, detail oriented, and, most importantly, passionate wine industry professionals to join our team for the 2016 vintage. These are full-time postions for the duration of the wine growing season with a potential, for the right candidate, to stay on for the 2016 harvest as a vintage assistant.
Kitsch Wines celebrated its first harvest in 2015, producing 1000 cases of single-vineyard Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wines from grapes grown on its 12.719 acre south-west facing vineyard site.
Successful candidates will work closely with the winemaker and viticulturist on day-to-day vineyard, winery, and tasting room operations.
These duties include:
Pruning
Trellis Repair
Tasting Room Sales
Tieing
Weeding
Event Set-up
Shoot Thinning
Tractor Operation
Crop Estimating
Canopy Management
Equipment Maintenance
Pre-Harvest Evaluation
Irrigation Maintenance
Replanting Vines
Harvesting
Successful applicants will be interviewed between now and March 1, 2016 with employment commencing no later than March 15th, 2016.
Renumeration will be competitive and based on experience and skill level. For the right candidate, on-site housing may be available.
