Tasting Room Manager - The Chase Wines
Our newly built tasting room and winery, located in Lake Country, will open to the public in May 2017.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic individual to manage our tasting room.
We seek someone who can passionately promote our brand and the wines, while charming and engaging our guests with their outgoing personality.
An understanding of, and love for, wine is a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting, training and managing the tasting room team.
Conducting tastings and tours.
Tasting room inventory, merchandising and display. Daily management of all aspects of the tasting room, scheduling, and tasting room supplies.
Management of wine orders, including direct to customer sales, wine club and other marketing.
Planning, organizing and execution of small on-site events
Implement and manage a social media presence for the winery.
Ideally you’ll have:
A dynamic personality, as well as the ability to tell a compelling story with style and a smile.
An innovative approach to work and life
Previous experience in a winery tasting room.
Experience with POS systems, and LDB reporting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential.
Training in tourism, hospitality or marketing.
At least two years’ experience in retail, hospitality or tourism, preferably within the wine industry.
Flexibility in terms of work schedule
The ability to comfortably lift 18-20kg.
Must be legally entitled and eligible to work in Canada.
The position will be full time for the season.
Wages will be commensurate with experience.
