Enforcing Policies and Procedures
Manager is to be fully knowledgeable and enforce all Backyard Vineyards policies and procedures.
Manager is to be fully knowledgeable and enforce all roles and responsibilities of wine shop employees.
Staffing
Manager is responsible to hire, train and manage wine shop staff with an emphasis on customer service and sales.
Manager is responsible for staff scheduling. Ensure enough staff that all guests receive excellent customer service but at the same time being conscience of labour costs.
Manager is to ensure that staff has all of their required certification.
Sales
Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals
Manager is responsible for development of all on-site marketing
Manager is responsible for building the Backyard Vineyards customer database
Manager is responsible for managing all facets of the Back Porch Wine Club, including:

Building on the number of members and hitting annual targets

Customer relations

Ensuring accurate database is kept of all current members

Ensuring shipments to all members
Manager is responsible for business Development—Christmas basket sales, corporate events, partnerships, corporate gifting
Premises
Manage all components of the wine shop itself, including general care.
Manager to oversee grounds directly surrounding to ensure the winery looks its best (gazebo, hanging plants, and picnic tables)
Events
Manager is responsible for planning and execution of all on site events as well as market and book private events.
Support offsite sales when needed by way of winery FAM visits from external or potential customers
Community
Manager is to help create and build Backyard Vineyards as a recognized brand within the community. To help foster relationships with other community businesses and help Backyard Vineyards become known as dependable community partner.
Kitchen
Manager is to ensure all Food Safe and Fraser Health requirements are met
Manager responsible for developing menus and monitoring food costs
Inventory
Manager is responsible for all monitoring all shop inventories, including wine and merchandise.
Manager is to ensure food costs are maintained within an acceptable range
Regulations
Manager is to ensure that staff is all treated in accordance with the Employee Standards Act
Manager is to ensure that all regulations for sales and marketing are followed
Manager is to follow and comply with Backyard Vineyards Accounting Policies and Procedures
Manager is to ensure that all regulations related to Serving It Right and Food Safe are met
Manager is to ensure that the Backyard Vineyards `House Policy` is followed at all times
