Role Mandate:

Firefly Fine Wines and Ales is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee our high-volume retail facility. 

You will be responsible for overseeing operations at our Cambie Street and Maple Ridge locations including driving sales, customer service, profitability, and the supervision of the growth and development of associates.

You must be committed to ensuring outstanding service by creating an environment that is focused on providing an experience that exceeds customer expectations.

 

Responsibilities:

 Supervise staff, including hiring and training employees, preparing work schedules, work and duty assignment, handle employee problem solving issues

 Prepare and conduct performance evaluations

 Conduct staff training on store products, proper customer service skills, and sales techniques

 Establish and implement work procedures and recommend changes to policies

 Monitor sales and inventory trends to forecast sales and maintain adequate stock levels

 Work with sales representatives regarding product lines, space allocation, and marketing of their products

 Oversee store merchandising

 Other duties as required

 

What are we looking for?

You must exemplify integrity and accountability at the managerial level as well as demonstrate excellent team leadership skills. Furthermore, you must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

 

Qualifications:

 Minimum 2-4 years management experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry with responsibility for financial results

 Previous management proficiency in high volume retail 

 Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture 

 Excellent wine, beer, and spirit knowledge 

 University educated, Business Degree preferred from an accredited University or College preferred
