Univins and Spirits is looking to add a new member to its team in Ontario (Mississauga).
Univins & Spirits is a Canada-wide wine and spirits agency firmly established all across the country. The agency leverages its 25 years of know-how and its extensive national and international network to deploy the brands it represents with great success. The company is based in Montreal and has representatives and regional offices in many provinces. It generates annual retail sales of $170 million.
Univins and Spirits is a leader of fine wines in the province of Ontario in terms of average retail selling price per bottle, and one of the fastest growing companies. While a major partner to the VINTAGES business unit, LCBO WINES (General List) and Consignment is an ever expanding part of the business.
Position description
The main role of the Product Manager is to support the Regional Manager and the sales team. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Managing the various LCBO product call deadlines and the creation of new products applications.
- Liaising with the LCBO buyers to maintain a steady development of the product portfolio.
- Liaising with supplier partners to keep product portfolio up to date.
- Preparing business reviews.
- Monitoring of budget expenses on with the advertising and promotional plan of its portfolio.
- Monitoring, analyzing and regularly measure the performance of the products according to their potential, investments, objectives and market trends.
- Identifying actions to improve performance.
- Managing all aspects of the supply chain process for the Consignment business.
- With the collaboration of the Regional Manager and the head office in Montreal, plan, follow-up and coordinate visits from producers in Ontario, team travels, international fairs, fairs in Ontario, and other events (winemaker dinner, tastings, etc.).
- Weekly sales and inventory tracking reports.
- Keeping price lists and other key selling materials up to date.
- Continue to build relationship with our media partners.
- Basic maintenance and updating of company website.
Candidate profile

- Dedicated to create and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work some evenings and weekends (wine festivals, winemaker dinners).
- Computer skills - knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including the ability to lift 20 kg.
Education and experience
- Minimum of Three Years of related experience in a similar role
- Post - Secondary Education in Business Administration, Marketing or Related Field
- Wine or Hospitality experience is an asset
- Successful completion of WSET or industry related courses is an asset
Remuneration package
Base salary commensurate according to experience. Health insurance: collective plan paid at 50% by employer. Annual wine allowance of portfolio product.
