Who we are:

Escalade Wines & Spirits is a joint venture between Concha y Toro and the Charton Hobbs Group.  Concha y Toro is 4th largest wine company in the world, with presence in 145 countries.  Charton Hobbs Group is Canada’s largest privately owned wine & spirits agency group. 

 

Role Objective:

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, the Trade Marketing & Portfolio Manager (TMPM) will collaborate with VP Operations & Marketing and Escalade Sales teams to deliver relevant marketing deliverables on time and on budget.   In addition the TMPM will be responsible for owning the relationship with our key wine supplier.  The TMPM will manage the Marketing Calendar and Marketing Budget for Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic) and will report to the VP Operations & Marketing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Lead the Integrated Commercial Planning process by helping build and implement brand strategies, the annual marketing plans and annual budgets for our key supplier; the TMPM is in charge of local implementation of the marketing plans, maintaining all tracking documents and reports.

·       Develop and distribute sales support materials where and when required for General List and Specialty SKUs.

·       Collaborate with Sales to plan, track and report on all retail and on premise marketing activities.

·       Assist with the management of the retail programing process; the TMPM is responsible for all customer submissions for programming and new product listing applications in Eastern Canada and updating all corresponding budgets and planning documents.

·       The TMPM will track, code and enter in budget system all invoicing for Eastern Canada.

·       Manage special requests from the Concha y Toro global team, Country Manager and VP; such as organizing visits, product samples, meetings, trade shows and special events.

·       Communicate via a formal marketing meeting, to all Provincial Managers and VP weekly, to ensure that sales teams are fully up to date on brand strategy, timing of resources and other deliverables.

·       Participate in strategic programming decisions on all EWS brands by safeguarding sales effectiveness and A&P efficiency with Provincial Managers, VP and Revenue Management department.

·       Plan, execute and track key supplier PR activities in Canada.

·       Build and manage special wine related events across Canada.

·       Other related duties as required.

 

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Qualifications, Skills, Abilities)

·       University education;

·       3+ Years in Consumer Packaged goods industry;

·       WSET / Sommelier experience an asset;

·       Impeccable communication skills;

·       Fluently Bilingual in English and French (Spanish an asset);

·       Strong interpersonal skills, Creative, Organized, Meticulous attention to detail;

·       Achievement / results oriented;

·       Strong Computer skills including MS Office;

·       Available to attend evening/ weekend events as necessary;

·       Hold a valid passport, willingness to travel occasionally;
