Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Based in the Charton-Hobbs’ (CH) Montreal office – or the Toronto CH office – this challenging new position will report to the CH National Brand Manager, Champagnes & Wines, Moet Hennessy (MH). The Brand Ambassador will also work closely with the MH Canadian General Manager. The focus of this position will be the Estates & Wines portfolio, plus Ruinart and Krug brands. Duties include:
Brand ambassador;

Responsible for product knowledge and training of the marketing & sales teams across Canada;

Assist in Developing accounts, and target high-net worth-individual groups, or other clients of the brands, working closely with each regional marketing manager and CH sales teams to maximize opportunity;

Prioritize and Host regional consumer events to increase brand awareness;

Serve as the Canadian expert and educator of the brand - speaking in public or with wine dignitaries on behalf of the brands to educate consumers and increase brand awareness;

Attend wine shows to present our brands to consumers;

Develop with National marketing and implement internal and external educational training programs;

Assist in Developing communication with CHMH National PR Director, and National Brand Managers media on launch initiatives for the brands;
Brand Management;

Execute national marketing plans on targeted brands, helping each regional marketing manager to implement their local plans;

Develop with the regional sales teams and RMM’s Private Importation & consignment, building relationship with direct consumers and on-trade accounts;

Seek and develop strategic partnerships with corporations to increase corporate sales;

Assist National Marketing, PR Director and RMM’s in Organizing promotional market tours for visiting winemakers and representatives including trade, media and consumer activities;
Job Requirements;

Bachelor of Commerce degree or higher, Marketing majors preferred;

Two years of brand marketing experience related to the premium wine segment or related experience in luxury goods companies will be considered favorably;

Strong knowledge of new world and French wines, WSET 3;

Experience and knowledge of the marketing policies of Canadian Liquor Boards is very desirable;

The position requires moderate to high levels of domestic and international travel - valid passport a requirement;

Moderate amount of evening and weekend event related work schedules;

The ability to prioritize, work under tight deadline pressures, multitasking, are key skills required for this position;

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, negotiating skills, public speaking and presentation skills; team building; and customer service.

Bilingual fluency in written and spoken French and English;

Strong analytical and organisation skills;

Above average skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
