Therapy Vineyards and Guesthouse is an award winning winery, vineyard and guesthouse operation located on the Naramata Bench close to the beautiful village of Naramata. Our operations comprises of 15 acres of vineyard, a new state-of-the-art winery building and a beautiful 8 bedroom guesthouse. We are managed by a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to growing the business and producing award wining wines.
General responsibilities:
1. Ongoing reconciliation of company books with bank accounts.
2. Ongoing management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
3. Payment of Account Payable invoices and bills.
4. Preparation of bi-weekly payroll.
5. Bank deposit of account receivable cheques.
6. Preparation of weekly cash flow report.
7. Participation in weekly staff meetings.
8. Preparation of monthly financial reports including Wine Sales Report, Profit and Loss Report, Balance Sheet, Inventory Report, Accounts Receivable Report and Accounts Payable Report.
9. Quarterly remittance of GST and others taxes.
10. Assist in preparation of yearly budget and cash flow.
11. Assist and advise other staff (i.e. winemaker, general/sales manager and guest house manager) with day to day financial and accounting issues.
12. Assist external accounting firm with yearend close out and provide accounting information for external audit and tax preparation.
Qualifications: Accounting degree or diploma with 8 to 12 years experience in the wine industry and/or small business of $2,000,000 to $2,500,000 revenue per year. Ideal candidate will have completed 3 to 4 years training towards a CGA or CMA designation.
Skills: Strong computer skills including QuickBooks and Excel. Large Excel workbooks are relied upon for budgeting and financial reporting.
