Winery Retail Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

JoieFarm Winery is located in the beautiful Naramata Bench on Naramata road. We are seeking knowledgeable and passionate wine personnel to work in our retail bar. This job includes selling JoieFarm wine to the public through the tasting room, pouring samples and sharing information about JoieFarm Winery. This will include discussion about our wines, vineyards, winemaking practices and overall sense of wine culture. 

Conducting group tours and private tastings may also be involved. We furthermore will run a fresh, forever seasonally evolving picnique menu catered to pair beautifully with our wines, so there will be some

(limited) food service aspects to our tasting room as well. Providing an outstanding guest experience through excellent customer service and authentic tasting room experience is our goal.

Prerequisites:

  • Formal training in wine (WSET, ISG, Court of Masters, etc)
  • Sales, hospitality, and/or customer service experience
  • Outgoing, friendly, and welcoming personality
  • Serving it Right
  • Minimum 19 years of age
  • Ability to lift a case of wine (approx. 15kg)
  • An absolute passion for wine and food
  • Understanding of the basic relationship between food and wine
