JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform a variety of tasks needed to ensure the continued operation of the bottling lines
• Ensure quality standards are achieved
• Ensure the use of the correct material

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

• Maintain a continued flow of product to ensure the optimization of the line
• Notify the supervisor or bottling lead hand of equipment concerns
• Assist on the line as required
• Assist in promotional activities as required by the supervisor
• Assist in line changes.
• Be able to lift 23 kg repetitiously
• Maintain a clean work area
• Stand for long periods of time
• Work within a unionized environment
• Work in warmer or cooler conditions – some outside work may be required
• Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
• Report any concerns of quality immediately to the Supervisor or bottling Lead Hand
• Be able to work with little supervision

ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

• Minimum Grade 12 education

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Shop Floor Understanding
• Communication Skills
• Beverage Production Line Experience
• HACCP / GMP knowledge
• WHIMIS Experience
• People Skills  

Working Conditions

• This position may require physical effort (up to 100%), which entails lifting and moving both full and empty cases of wine, lifting of raw material, and movement of heavy equipment.
• The work environment varies according to the external temperatures and some outside work may be required.  
• The noise level exceeds 85 decibels.  Hearing protection is mandatory.
• There is a strong presence of glass in the workplace.  Gloves must be worn when there is the possibility of exposure to broken glass.
• Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses are mandatory within the workplace.
