Cellar Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

The Stratus Vineyards winery in Niagara on the Lake is seeking enthusiastic individuals to lead its cellar team.

 


The successful candidates will work directly with the winemaker. The job will involve the full range of cellar activities including:

- Supervise the cellar activities
- Train new harvest staff
- gravity wine transfers,
- crushing and pressing,
- red and white fermentations monitoring
- additions
- cleaning tanks and cellars
- cap management
- barrel work,
-Prepare wines for bottling
- R&D
- periodically grapes or wine QC.


Most of the year is worked on regular hours, but we work together in flexible shift teams that can be daytime, late evening and weekends in the busy season from October to December.

This position provides an opportunity to work in a super premium-oriented winery
