We are currently looking for full time seasonal chef for our kitchen services. Food Safety Certificate is a must to have.

Our kitchen menu is a simple one yet uses local ingredients and showcases our wines. It is a great opportunity to learn about food and wine pairings. People relate to food easier than wine. Through food, people can relate to wines instantly. One cannot live without the other.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to follow recipe instructions independently and accurately
• Have orders ready in an efficiently manner
• Pour wine for Wine By the Glass
• Be able to do simple plating
• Make sure raw materials and supply are constantly in stock
• Must be willing to perform all duties in the kitchen
  • Maintaining cleanliness/sanitization of the kitchen
  • Cleaning
  • Collecting garbage/recycling
  • Making sure dishwashing is done
  • Keeping ingredients properly stored
• Need to be able to complete jobs that may be decided on a day to day basis that still revolve around the job description.
• There is room for creativity.
  
  

Requirements:

• Well-organized person
• Must have food handler certificate
• Able to work in standing position for long hours
• Be willing to accommodate flexible hours occasionally
• Self motivated and thrives in a team environment
• Knowledge about wine and food pairing is an asset
• Smart-serve is preferred
• Valid driver’s licence and own a car

 
Continued employment into the autumn and winter season is available for the right candidate.
