Retail Sales Associate

The Hare Wine Co. is seeking passionate and engaging wine enthusiasts who are team-oriented and customer service driven. This dynamic role will include conducting tours, delivering tastings and working special events.

‪Duties:

• Welcoming guests and providing an engaging and positive experience.
• Educating guests about The Hare Wine Co. and our award-winning wines through, tastings, tours and retail sales.
• Developing and maintaining wine and merchandise knowledge to support a superb retail experience.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the retail area, tasting rooms and winery property.
• Stocking and cleaning shelves.
• Operation of POS system
• Duties may also include packing and shipping wine orders, off-site tasting events and other winery opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Smart Serve Certified.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Retail experience and active sales skills.
• Flexible schedule (evenings, holidays & weekends).
• Passionate about the Ontario wine industry and excited to expand wine knowledge.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Comfortable public speaking and leading tours & tastings for small and large groups.
• Experience working as a team, preferably in the wine or hospitality industry.
• Superior communication skills and ability to associate with a diverse group of winery visitors.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40lbs.
• Previous wine sales experience an asset.
• Second language considered an asset but not required.
