We are seeking a friendly and organized Administrative Assistant to join our small but growing wine import agency based in North Vancouver. Responsibilities include assisting the Operations Manager in day to day administrative tasks and sales support. The ideal candidate will have some wine knowledge and have the ability to travel locally.
Work hours:
Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM)/ 30 hrs per week to start, with the occasional wine event to attend.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Registering new products with liquor boards.
- Conducting wine research.
- Creating and updating feature sheets.
- Maintaining the AB and BC portfolios up to date.
- Processing price changes and LTOs.
- Processing product change forms.
- Applying for wine events.
- Participating in Social Media.
- Updating information on company website.
- Picking up samples at YVR, Westlink and other locations in Vancouver area.
- Keeping the wine samples inventory updated.
- Locating and delivering products for VIP clients.
- Attendance at some evening or weekend wine events may be required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) or Mac.
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritize as it pertains to the business.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- French language competence an asset.
- Wine knowledge an asset
- Ability to travel locally when required for business purposes.
- Serving It Right or equivalent.
- Cell phone (allowance provided).
- Computer/ laptop.
- Valid driver’s license
- Vehicle (parking and kilometer allowance for business use provided.)
