Sales and Marketing Assistant
Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars is a family owned and operated winery located in Okanagan Falls. We have been farming on our estate for over 45 years and making wine for the past 25 years. Blue Mountain focuses on varietal wines and strives to produce complex, age-worthy wines, consistent in style while allowing the expression of both the terroir and the individual growing season.
The winery is recruiting for the position of Sales and Marketing Assistant. This position is a minimum of a yearlong Pregnancy/Parental Leave position that will be based at the winery in Okanagan Falls, BC. The Sales and Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director Christie Mavety and work closely with the Tasting Room Manager.
Key attribute would be an individual that works under minimal supervision, as part of a team to support the office and tasting room operations in a manner that ensures a rich consumer experience, builds consumer loyalty and represents Blue Mountain in an appropriate manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration
· Manage all email and telephone communication.
· Assist with hiring and scheduling on Google calendar.
· Assisting the Director with numerous tasks and functions.
· Wine Club Management.
Sales
· Assist with processing phone and e-commerce orders and fulfillment.
· Store Status – pending orders, declined orders (missing out on the sale by not contacting them).
· Conduct tastings in the tasting room.
Marketing
· Create and distribute all electronic newsletters to our database and wine club members.
· Managing and updating the winery website regularly.
· Assist with planning, set-up and execution of various events throughout the year.
Social Media
· Working directly with Social Media manager
· Management of the Twitter account
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
· A minimum of 3 years working experience in the field of Sales and Marketing.
· Skilled in communication, presentation, sales and customer service
· Knowledge of wine and wine making, and availability of products
· Vin 65 knowledge is an asset.
· Creative thinking skills, able to think outside of the box.
This position is a full-time Parental Leave for a minimum of one year. Ideally the position will be filled for early February 2017 start date.
