Tasting Room Supervisor (seasonal Mar-Nov) (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Liquidity Winery, nestled in the heart of Okanagan Falls between the stunning vistas of lakes Vaseux and Skaha in the unique landscape of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, is now hiring for the upcoming season.

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and organized person with a passion for wine, food and art to join our team in a supervisory position. If you enjoy interacting with people and have your Serving It Right certificate, we would like to hear from you.

The job duties will include (but not be limited to):

·         Providing positive leadership to the tasting room team  under the direction of the Customer Experience Manager.

·         Providing guests with a memorable tasting experience

·         Helping achieve wine sales targets

·         Assisting customers with sales and/or shipping

·         Executing staff incentive program

·         Managing inventory

·         Stocking shelves

·         Light housekeeping duties in public areas

·         Helping out at special events hosted by Liquidity

·         Promoting Tasting Room sales, events & Wine Club

Qualifications include:

·         Serving It Right certification (available online)

·         WSET or ISG certifications preferred

·         Ability to make yourself heard in a noisy room

·         Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Management/supervisory experience in hospitality & customer service

·         Wine industry/tasting room experience

·         An interest in wine, from soil to bottle

·         Ability to carry 45 lb cases

·         Willing to work weekends, holidays and some evenings as needed

·         Bilingualism an asset

·         Social media knowledge/experience an asset
