Vineyard Foreman & Vineyard Crew (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Liquidity Wines Ltd is seeking staff for a few different roles for looking after our 30 acre property in beautiful Okanagan Falls. The suitable candidates will be enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated with a commitment to teamwork as well as an ability to take initiative and work without guidance. 

Vineyard Foreman Role (full-time, permanent) includes:

Vine management, including:

  • Pruning
  • Training
  • Canopy Management
  • Planting
  • Harvest

Evaluation and monitoring, including:

  • Irrigation (Ranch system)
  • Pest and Disease monitoring
  • Data collection and evaluation

Operation of Vineyard machinery, including:

  • Tractor operation
  • Sprayer operation
  • Wind machine operation
  • Chemical Application
  • Care, maintenance and upkeep of equipment

Assisting in all aspects of the daily operations involved in the management of the Vineyard, working closely with the Winemaker to ensure delivery of premium fruit and acting in supervisory capacity to seasonal Vineyard team. This person would report to our General Manager.

Position requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of vineyard practices including planting, pruning, irrigation and plant nutrition
  • 3+ years vineyard experience
  • Ability to operate tractor, sprayer, ATV
  • Valid pesticide applications licence or ability and willingness to obtain
  • Valid BC drivers licence 
  • A working knowledge of Spanish would be an asset
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions

Vineyard Crew (4 positions available, seasonal/temporary):

A crew is needed to prune and tie the vineyard. For the right candidate(s), there is the potential of full time permanent vineyard employment.

Position requirements:

  • Minimum of one year vineyard pruning
  • Ability to work diligently in a crew with minimal direction/supervision
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions
