Procurement Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Working in conjunction with managers & national purchasing for Oliver & Western Estate Wineries, responsible for the procurement and receiving of glass, partitions, boxes, flavours,labels raw materials, bulk wine and miscellaneous items in the Oliver facility and all components for Western Estate Wineries.  Balancing production schedule with the component supply. 

• Communicate with transport companies to ensure that the deliveries of components will coordinate with our production time lines.
• Confirm, clarify discrepancies & entering to JDE & follow up with suppliers should any discrepancies occur.  This includes ongoing communication with receiving & warehousing. Inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct regular meetings / conference calls with suppliers to ensure their ability to meet our production needs.
• Completion of production work orders for the Estate Wineries
• Assign purchase order to Commercial cellars for wine orders & other raw materials including flavours.
• Reviewing work order completions & clearing the production locations daily, this helps maintain inventory accuracy.  Communicate BOM changes as required to MDM group, as components are being revised constantly.  Making sure old PO’s/open receipts are investigated and cleared to ensure messages are accurate and nothing is left hanging on the RNV (rec’d not vouchered) listing
• Assign receiving schedule to the receiver, for orders coming in, on a weekly basis.
• Longer production schedule lead times.
• Responsible for assisting warehouse personnel with physical inventory counts as required. 
• Responsible for maintaining at risk inventory lists for packaging components to ensure visibility for inventory provision.
• Complete WFG asset disposal requests to obtain authorization and completion of disposal for packaging components.
• Primary backup MPS Planner

• Completion of college/vocational program in a  relative field such as Supply Chain/fulfillment and/or a minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in a similar position
• Must have ability to react to constant production/forecast changes and update purchasing and delivery schedules and communicate these changes to all required departments.
• Must have ability to adapt to rapidly changing delivery schedules in a high paced, high output production facility.
• Ability to multi task several job functions at once.
• Formal Computer Training
• Working with Excel, MS Word, Outlook
• Extensive working knowledge of JDE/ Winery Information System
• Data Management Course an asset
• Accounting and inventory control experience in a larger production facility
• There is continuous pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. Unpleasant contacts and/or concern about unpleasant situations are frequent.  Moderate disruption of family/social life
• Located in a comfortable indoor area.  Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion, e.g., dust, moderate noise
• Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about
