Vasanti Estate Winery, a family-owned and operated winery dedicated to creating exceptional wine experiences, is seeking to add passionate Full-time and Part-time Tasting Room Associates to our team for when we open our winery in June!

Position Overview:

The Tasting Room Associate at Vasanti Estate Winery plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while representing our brand with pride and enthusiasm. This position involves engaging with visitors, conducting wine tastings, and ensuring the smooth operation of our tasting room. In addition, individuals with Cellar hand experience are encouraged to apply as there is room for growth into different roles as we are a new winery. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals that can join us from June until the end of October. 

Start Date: Early June

Compensation:

• $19 - $21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service during wine tastings.

• Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of Vasanti Estate Winery and its wines.

• Deliver accurate and engaging descriptions of our winery's story and wine offerings.

• Handle purchase transactions with precision, operating the cash register and credit card processor.

• Handle packing and shipping online orders and wine club orders. 

• Maintain inventory records, including wine used for tastings.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bathrooms, and, including glassware, displays, and work areas.

• Represent Vasanti Estate Winery at outside functions and festivals as needed.

• Answer incoming calls and provide detailed messages when required.

• Assist with wine tastings and event setup for events hosted at Vasanti.

• Assist with wine display and pricing as needed.

 

Qualifications:

• WSET Certification an asset

• Excellent oral communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Highly customer service oriented.

• Ability to work independently and as a team

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

• Professional appearance, approachable demeanor, and positive attitude.

• Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

• Must be at least 19 years old and possess "Serving it Right" certification.

• Passion for knowledge of fine wine and willingness to learn more.

• Hospitality, sales, organizational, and customer service skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 40 lbs.

• Reside in Oliver or able to commute to work.
