Culmina is looking for an ambitious, intelligent, analytical, and creative candidate who carries skills and experience encompassing a trifecta of hospitality, wine marketing, and people managment. This newly-created position will provide leadership in a key part of our fast-growing business, namely our customer experience and in the management of our hospitality team. Marketing capabilities will also features strongly in the ideal candidate, given the position's responsibility areas also include social media, website, and e-commerce management.
The details of the postion are as follows:
Hospitality Management
- Manage Culmina's full time employees who work part time in Hospitlaity in terms of their scheduling and performance in this area, and assist in recruitment as required
- Manage all seasonal hospitality employees in terms of their recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Support the Tasting Room in the execution of all hospitality experiences as required, offering the highest level of service to provide a warm, engaging, and memorable experience to Culmina’s visitors
- Support the execution of all hospitality experiences and events as required
Marketing & Promotional Coordination
- Develop plans and programming for content to various social media outlets (HootSuite, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc)
- Execute all social media plans in conjunction with the hospitality team
- Coordinate applications for Wine Festivals, Promotional Events, and Competitions
- Support Culmina at trade shows and off-site winery events
- Manage the production of collateral (Tasting Notes, Sell Sheets, Shelf-Talkers, etc), and coordinate printing needs with external partners
- Create artwork for use on social media and other communication outlets using design software
- Coordinate and support the procurement of communications content from other parts of the business
Website & E-commerce Sales Management
- Ensure all content for WordPress website is up to date (Events, News, Images)
- Ensure that new products, tasting notes, and bottle shots are uploaded in a timely manner, commensurate to release dates
- Manage WordPress updates; and work with our website provider to increase SEO efficiencies
- Develop Culmina’s DTC & Member-based businesses
- Manage Culmina’s e-commerce software in all areas (online sales, Member sales, Member communications, and sales reporting)
- Update and manage Culmina’s Member database
- Manage all Member communications, including quarterly Newsletters
- Plan and execute Member events when required
General
- Ability to represent Culmina’s values when working with the public and Culmina’s customer base
- Ensure Culmina's presentation in all marketing areas (tasting room, events, online, promotions, materials) is consistent to that of an ‘icon’ estate
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Commerce, Business, or Marketing
- A minimum of 3 years wine marketing experience; luxury industry experience considered an asset
- ISG / WSET 3 wine training or knowledged gained through equivalent work experience
- Extensive eperience and passion for working in customer service
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite); design program competency considered an asset
- Solid competency using industry e-commerce platform Vin65
- Outstanding verbal and written communicator (English)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Basic competency using web design programs (WordPress or equivalent)
- Ability to work the occasional evening and one weekend day per week during the high season
- Ability to work occasional overtime
- Able to safely lift up to 15 kg / 35 pounds
- 19+ years of age & a valid BC Driver’s License
- Canadian citizen/Permanent resident
